No form of violence is OK! Ever!!
If someone hurts you, you should speak about it, even if they tell you not to do so. Anyone that mean will do it again, because they believe that they are not in danger of being caught. Violence against children and juveniles has to stop.
There is no excuse for tormenting another person or making them do things that hurt, or make them feel ashamed or fearful. Even if it happened long ago, it’s useful to talk to someone about it. It will help the old wound to heal better, and you can learn how to protect yourself in future in threatening situations.

Adults are responsible for ensuring that you feel safe and happy. It’s great if the adults take this responsibility seriously.
Perhaps there are things in your family that don’t feel right but that you’ve got used to. There are some things you should never get used to! Fear of others and of insults and violence are things that have to stop. Every person has a right to a life without threats or injury through physical and sexual violence – including you and the members of your family.
